April besichtigen und sich über die in Deutschland einzigartige Form zur Schmerzlinderung bei rheumatischen und chronisch-entzündlichen Erkrankungen informieren. Der Stollen kann samstags von 14 – 18 Uhr und sonntags 11 -18 Uhr kostenlos besichtigt werden. Der Stollen liegt am Nachtigallenweg direkt am Naheufer und in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Panoramaweg.

Mit Investitionen in modernen Strahlenschutz ist die ACURADON Radontherapie langfristig gesichert

Bad Kreuznach – Die AccuMeda Holding GmbH, Betreiberin des „Sanitätsrat Dr. Jöckel“-Stollen in Bad Kreuznach, hat die unbefristete Betriebsgenehmigung für die ACURADON Radontherapie zur Behandlung chronischer Schmerzen erhalten. Nach dem Betreiberwechsel im Januar 2013 hat AccuMeda umfangreiche Modernisierungen an dem seit 1974 in Betrieb stehenden Stollen vorgenommen, um so den medizinischen Nutzen für Patienten mit chronischen Schmerzen langfristig zu erhalten und weiter auszubauen.

Durch den Betreiberwechsel von Sanitätsrat Dr. Jöckel, der den Stollen und die Radon-Inhalation mehrere Jahrzehnte mit großen Einsatz und Engagement geführt hat, an die AccuMeda Holding GmbH, die in Bad Kreuznach die ACURA Kliniken Rheinland-Pfalz AG und die AccuMeda Health Academy betreibt, waren weitere Modernisierungen im Bereich Strahlenschutz notwendig. In Zusammenarbeit mit den Stadtwerken Bad Kreuznach, der Struktur- und Genehmigungsdirektion Nord und dem Landesamt für Umwelt, Wasserwirtschaft sowie der Gewerbeaufsicht wurden im Laufe der letzten anderthalb Jahre sukzessive zusätzliche qualitätssichernde Maßnahmen umgesetzt. Dazu gehören die Aufrüstung der Belüftungs- und Filtertechnik ebenso wie die Überprüfung der therapierelevanten Dosis des Edelgases Radon, das hier aufgrund seiner schmerzlindernden Wirkung zum Einsatz kommt. Zudem wurde der Verordnungsprozess vereinfacht.

Insgesamt haben sich die Investition von Zeit und finanziellen Ressourcen deutlich bezahlt gemacht: Nicht nur sind die Sicherheitsstandards auf dem neuesten Stand, auch die Patienten profitieren von der noch weiter gesteigerten Qualität der Radontherapie und können weiterhin darauf vertrauen, im Bad Kreuznacher Radonstollen eine effektive und sichere Schmerztherapie zu erhalten.
